Brownsville clinched at least a share of the Section 2-AA championship with an 11-0 rout of visiting Charleroi in boys baseball action on Friday.

The Cougars (8-5, 6-4) are one game in front of Beth-Center in the battle for the third and final playoff spot in the section.

The Falcons (12-3, 10-0) stretched their winning streak to 12 games and have now won nine section titles under coach Skooter Roebuck.

Winning pitcher Mason Kelly (6-1) gave up just one hit and two walks with two strikeouts.

Zach Bashour drove in two runs with a double for Brownsville. Greg Stiner and Cory Lent each had a double and an RBI.

Losing pitcher Emery Anden struck out five and walked one.

The Falcons scored five in the first to take command and ended the game on the 10-run mercy rule with three runs in the bottom of the fifth.
