Scotties’ rally falls short against Big Macs

Canon-McMillan 71, Southmoreland 69 – The Big Macs led 58-52 heading into the fourth quarter Tuesday night and then Canon-McMillan held off a late rally by Southmoreland for a 71-69 non-section road victory.

The Scotties (2-1) outscored Canon-McMillan in the fourth quarter, 17-13.

Southmoreland led after the first quarter, 26-18, but the Big Macs (2-1) carried the play over the next 16 minutes, 40-26.

Brandon Stone scored a game-high 21 points for the Scotties. Tommy Pisula finished with 20 and Zak Leighty added 11.

Carson Miller led the Big Macs with 19 points. RJ Bell (13), Britton Beachy (12), and Jake Davey (10) also scored in double figures.
