Connellsville splits swimming meet with Trinity
Connellsville split a swimming meet at Trinity in non-section action on Thursday with the girls winning, 90-57, but the boys losing, 84-69.
Gracey Fiesta won two individual races and two relays for the Lady Falcons. She won the 200 intermediate with a time of 2:25.66 and the 100 butterfly in 1:05.30.
Fiesta teamed up with Nicole Wood, Tatum Detwiler and Lexi Koslosky to win the 200 medley relay in 2:00.73. She was part of the 200 freestyle relay team with Koslosky, Detwiler and Carlee Shreve that won in 1:53.29.
Shreve won the 200 freestyle in 2:09.43 and the 500 free in 5:45.67.
Wood won the 100 backstroke in 1:09.16 and Detwiler picked up victories in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.31) and 50 freestyle (25.01).
Bailey Cramer (100 freestyle) won her race in 1:04.92.
The Lady Falcons’ team of Wood, Shreve, Madison Berger and Kelsey Primus won the 400 freestyle relay in 4:07.52.
Ian McCombie won three races for the Falcons, including two individual events. He touched the wall first in the 200 freestyle in 1:57.65 and was first in the 500 freestyle (5:25.52).
Noah Barczyk won the 100 backstroke in 1:01.14.
Barczyk, McCombie, Nych Price and Chatham Papoi teamed up to win the 400 free relay in 4:07.52.
