Frazier sprang from the gate with a 25-10 first-quarter scoring edge and played even with Bentworth the rest of the night in an 81-66 win at home in Section 2-AA boys basketball action Tuesday.

It was the section opener for both teams, as Frazier (1-2) won for the first time this season. Bentworth fell to 3-2.

Justin Novak paced the Commodores with 23 points, while Joshua Cox followed with 18, Bradley Poling added 16 and J.D. Celaschi scored 12.

Bentworth for a game-high 24 from Ray Logan, while Levi Jordan added 18 and Steven Harner scored 10.
