Fort Cherry tops Mikes

Fort Cherry 63, Carmichaels 47 – Fort Cherry enjoyed scoring edges in the second and fourth quarter of Tuesday’s 63-47 win over Carmichaels in the Section 2-AA opener for both teams.

The Mikes lost for the first time this season after piling up three season-opening wins. Liam Shea scored a game-high 22 points for the Mikes and Matthew Barrish added 16.

Fort Cherry countered with two players (Devon Brown and Ryhan Culberson) getting 20 points each. Chad Colussy added 14 for Fort Cherry.

The Rangers outscored Carmichaels 17-11 in the second quarter before pouring it on with a 16-5 edge in the final eight minutes.
