Lady Cougars pick up first win of season

Yough jumped out to an 11-4 lead in the first period and went on to defeat Springdale, 28-11, for its first win of the season in girls basketball action at the Valley Christmas Tournament Thursday.

The Lady Cougars (1-6) led 16-7 at halftime and 24-11 after three periods before blanking the Lady Dynamos (0-3) in the final quarter to secure the victory.
