Norwin sweeps past Uniontown swimmers

The Uniontown swim team had a tough non-section meet against visiting Norwin Tuesday night, with the boys losing, 101-68, and the girls dropping a 90-70 decision.

Elizabeth Klingensmith, Molly Rabon and Maeve Carei accounted for the Lady Raiders’ individual first-place finishes. Klingensmith won the 100 backstroke (1:07.59) and 100 butterfly (1:01.61). Rabon finished first in the 100 breaststroke (1:28.25), while Carei won the diving with 192.60 points.

Alexandra Meadows, Rylee Levander, Rachel VanNosdeln and Klingensmith won the 400 freestyle relay in 4:06.

The Red Raiders’ Jonathan Desvarro won the diving with 134 points.

Evan Klatt finished first in the 100 breaststroke (1:26.40).

The 400 freestyle relay finished first in 5:08.08 and the 200 freestyle relay won in 1:41.90.
