Cougars stay atop section with win at Mount Pleasant
Yough used a big fourth quarter Friday night to pull away from Mount Pleasant, 49-31, in Section 3-AAA action.
The Cougars led 8-7 after the first quarter and 21-16 at halftime. The Vikings (2-3, 3-7) shaved one point of their deficit in the third quarter, but Yough finished strong in the fourth quarter, 20-6.
Jake O’Bradovich led Yough (5-0, 10-3) with a game-high 17 points. Nick Beers scored 13 and Matt Huss added 10.
Jason Beranek scored 11 for the Vikings and Jake Newill added 10.
