Connellsville held off visiting Franklin Regional down the stretch for a 49-48 non-section girls basketball win on Wednesday night.

The Lady Falcons (7-9) broke an 18-18 tie with a 15-7 edge in the second period to take a 33-25 halftime advantage and led 40-35 heading into the fourth.

Molly Bauer led Connellsville with 22 points and Abbey Davis added 13.

Kassidy Hubert topped Franklin Regional (5-8) with 19 points and Natalie Palmer had 10.
