Titans breeze to 87-54 win at Belle Vernon

West Mifflin scored 33 points in the second quarter Friday night to pull away from Belle Vernon for an 87-54 Section 4-AAA road victory.

The Titans (5-3, 7-5) led 27-15 after the first quarter, but gained a lot of distance with a 33-6 advantage in the second quarter. The Leopards (2-5, 4-8) held a slight edge in the second half, 33-27.

Karlyn Garner scored a game-high 28 points for the Titans. Ken Rause-Strouthers finished with 25 and Josh Long 16.

Noah Bukowski scored 11 points for the Leopards.
