Big second period helps Steel Valley roll past Warriors

Steel Valley erupted for 31 points in the second period in surging to a 47-25 halftime lead and went on to defeat visiting Elizabeth-Forward, 92-59, in a Section 4-AAA boys basketball game on Tuesday night.

Ja’Mier Fletcher led the Ironmen (12-3, 8-2) with 14 points and was followed by Zai’Quan Henderson (12) and Kennedy Smith (11).

Trey Mitchell tallied 10 points for the Warriors (6-12, 4-6).
