Colonials’ rally falls short against Cavaliers

By The 1 min read

Tavian Mozie scored 26 of his game-high 33 points in the second half but it wasn’t enough as Albert Gallatin’s rally came up short in a 57-54 loss to visiting Kiski Area in a Section 1-AAAA boys basketball game on Tuesday night.

The Cavaliers (4-11, 3-6) used an 18-8 advantage in the second period to take a 26-17 halftime lead. The Colonials (7-10, 1-8) pulled within 38-31 after three periods and sliced the gap to three in the fourth behind 18 points by Mozie but could get no closer.

Kiski made 11 of 14 free throws in the final frame to help maintain its lead. Deshawon Bracy and Jon Bracy each scored 19 points for the Cavaliers.

Tanner Kutek contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds for AG.
