Lady Spartans cruise past AG, 72-13

Leading 34-5 after the first quarter, Hempfield put the game away with a 23-0 advantage in the second quarter Thursday night for a 72-13 Section 1-AAAA victory against visiting Albert Gallatin.

Michelle Burns, daughter of Albert Gallatin grad Paul Burns, scored a game-high 18 points for the Lady Spartans (8-2, 12-4). Allison Podkul finished with 16 and Aubree Halusic added 15.

The Lady Colonials go to 2-9 in the section and 3-16 overall.
