Depth hurting Mania card

This week, several emailers reached out to touch base about the WrestleMania card.

Considering that the show is four weeks from today, the card is a hot topic and several fans are down on what the lineup may actually be.

But what fans have to remember is that the card has been altered heavily due to the injury bug.

Former WWE champions John Cena, Seth Rollins, and Randy Orton, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Sting and Nikki Bella are all on the sidelines, and that doesn’t even include the recently retired Daniel Bryan.

While the WWE cannot predict future injuries, the constant nonstop schedule that the wrestlers go through isn’t helping.

However, this is not the first time that the WWE was facing a Mania with several injury questions.

WrestleMania XIV featured an injured Shawn Michaels in the main event and Owen Hart wrestled with a foot injury.

Things turned out alright for the WWE that night as it pushed full speed ahead into the Attitude Era form that point on.

Triple H vs. Ambrose on Network

The WWE announced on Tuesday that Triple H will defend the WWE title against Dean Ambrose this coming Saturday night on a WWE Network show titled Roadblock.

Brock Lesnar will face Bray Wyatt and other top stars will also be on the show which starts at 8 pm.

Could the WWE throw a wrench into its Mania plans by having Ambrose beat Triple H for the gold?

It would make the Ambrose and Lesnar match at Mania for the WWE title and the Roman Reigns match against Triple H a grudge match.

A lot of fans would love to see this happen, but it is unlikely.

(subhead)Raw in Pittsburgh next Monday

Two days after Roadblock, the WWE returns to Pittsburgh for Monday Night Raw.

Hopefully the show is more entertaining than this past week’s.

I will be backstage at the show and will have some updates in the March 20th column.

TNA in trouble?

Earlier this week, it was reported that TNA is back on the market, but that may not be the case.

The company, which airs its weekly show Tuesday nights on Pop, met with investors two weeks ago and is looking to find some solid financial backing.

So while that technically means that a part of ownership is for sale, the struggling company is not completely on the market.

But a major problem is that the company’s TV show has one new episode left to air and it will happen this Tuesday.

The talent was originally told that they would be booked for TV tapings from March 12th through the 15th but it was pushed back to the 15th through the 20th.

This week’s questions:

Where is WrestleMania 33 going to take place? Jake, Uniontown.

Usually, the WWE announces the WrestleMania location 18 months in advance.

But it has yet to announce where next year’s will be.

A report earlier this week stated that Orlando will be announced this week, possibly on Tuesday, as the location.

I have a feeling that the delay is because the WWE may have been trying to work something out at an unexpected venue and things fell through.

My guess is that Orlando has been the backup plan and the WWE could not wait any longer for the other venue deal to be made.

Can you speak on when and where the local legend Lord Zoltan will be wrestling again? Doug, Uniontown.

Zoltan will be wrestling this coming Saturday night on a fund raiser show in Pittsburgh at Bishop Canevin High School.

Bell time is 7 pm for the show which is at 2700 Morange Rd. in Pittsburgh, 15205.

I will also be in action as will 100.7 morning radio personality Bubba and several stars from the Pittsburgh independent level.
