Kalsey wins outdoors

Westminster College senior Marissa Kalsey opened her outdoor pole vault season Saturday afternoon by winning the Juniata Invitational after she cleared 3.79 meters (12-5¼).

The Waynesburg Central graduate cleared her opening height at 3.64 meters in one vault and needed just one shot for her winning jump. She came up short on all three attempts at 4.05 meters (13-3½).

Kalsey finished third last week at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships for her fourth indoor All-America honor.
