Falcon skaters lose at Trinity, 8-0

Nathan Hilzendeger scored four goals and John Popielarcheck was strong in net Thursday night to lead Trinity to an 8-0 PIHL Division II victory against visiting Connellsville.

Trinity led 2-0 after the first period and 3-0 after the second. The Hillers closed with five goals in the third period.

Hilzendeger scored one goal apiece in the first and second periods, and two more in the third period.

Joseph Chopp, Colton Clingermanstang, Jacob Snyder and Tyler Piatt also scored for the Hillers.

Popielarcheck made 44 saves to preserve the shutout.

The Falcons’ Gerald Furajter made 30 saves.
