Blackhawk defeats Warriors, 7-4
Elizabeth-Forward fell behind in the first period Monday night and was unable to rally as the Warriors dropped a 7-4 decision at Blackhawk in PIHL Division II action.
Matthew Hickey, from a Wesley Scott assist, spotted Elizabeth-Forward the early lead with his goal at 4:41.
Blackhawk closed the period with three goals.
Hickey scored his second goal of the game, a short-handed effort assisted by Nicholas Ryckman, at 3:07 of the second period.
But Blackhawk extended their lead to 5-2 at the 5:57 mark of the second period.
Tyler Brakeall closed the gap to 5-3 with his goal at 9:44 of the second period. Bailey Williams and Ryckman assisted on the goal.
After Blackhawk took a 7-3 lead, Ryckman’s power play goal at 14:34 closed the scoring.
Blackhawk had 32 shots on the Warriors’ Blake Huck. The Warriors had 29 shots on Blackhawk’s Matthew Bibbee.
Elizabeth-Forward goes to 2-6-2 with the loss, while Blackhawk improves to 1-7-1.
