Fine’s TD lifts Leopards to 21-15 win

Mike Fine’s 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter Friday night was the difference in Belle Vernon’s 21-15 Big Nine Conference victory at Trinity.

Nick Hall spotted Belle Vernon (6-0, 6-0) the early lead on a 4-yard run, but Trinity (2-4) scored the next 15 points for a 15-7 lead after three quarters.

Tim Labuda’s 47-yard interception return started the rally for the Leopards in the fourth quarter and Fine’s dive into the end zone capped the comeback.

Hall gained 126 yards rushing on 12 carries.
