Ringgold upends West Mifflin, 29-26
Ringgold and West Mifflin combined to score 42 fourth-quarter points Friday night, but it was the Rams who held a 23-19 edge in the final 12 minutes for a 29-26 Big Nine Conference victory over the Titans.
Max Maciejewski opened the scoring for the Rams (5-2, 5-2) in the fourth quarter on a 70-yard bomb from George Martin. The duo also added the two-point conversion.
James Tyree answered for West Mifflin (5-1, 7-1) with touchdown runs of 74 and 65 yards, but Martin responded for the Rams with a 2-yard touchdown run. Matt Cannon added the extra point.
Darius Tyree scored the game-winning points on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Martin. Brendan Small added the two-point conversion.
Martin completed 18-of-29 passes for 328 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Dalton Holt caught six passes for 103 yards and Maciejewski grabbed seven passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
Tyree ran for 180 yards on 10 carries.
