Titans score early, hold off Waynesburg, 28-7

Westminster’s Paul Columbo accounted for 287 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns to lead the Titans to a 28-7 Presidents’ Athletic Conference victory against visiting Waynesburg.

Columbo ran for 126 yards on 10 carries and scored on a 78-yard run in the third quarter. He completed 14-of-23 passes for 161 yards, including a 54-yard scoring pass to Jaevon Hardy.

Bill Madeja scored the first two touchdowns for the Titans, the first on a 3-yard run in the first quarter and the second on a 2-yard run early in the second quarter.

Waynesburg avoided the shutout when Jake Dougherty dove into the end zone from a yard out with 6:13 remaining.

Dougherty completed 12-of-26 passes for 103 yards and ran for 36 yards on 13 carries. Ta’Vaughn Johnson caught a team-high four passes for 38 yards.
