Elizabeth Forward 204, Uniontown 220 — Elizabeth Forward continued its winning ways in Section 2-AAA with a 204-220 victory over Uniontown on Monday at Duck Hollow Golf Club.

The Warriors improved to 9-0 in section play and overall, while Uniontown fell to 2-3 in section play and 3-5 overall.

EF’s Joey Klingensmith shot an even-par 35 on the Front 9 at Duck Hollow, but the home team’s Danae Rugola matched him with an even par.

The Warriors’ Angus McHolme carded a 37, while the Red Raiders’ Alec Basile and Logan Levander had 43s. EF’s No. 3 scorer, Garin Martik carded a 43.

The difference was the Warriors’ No. 4 and 5 starters, Matt Benedik (44) and Christian Jones (45), who bested Uniontown’s Eric Silbaugh (48) and Kali Jones (51).

Elizabeth Forward’s Matt White scored a 47 for his round that wasn’t used in the final totals.

Uniontown plays cross-town rival, Laurel Highlands, on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
