South Park too much for Lady Rams

Ringgold scored the first goal but South Park responded in a big way en route to a 6-1 Section 3-AAA girls soccer victory on Monday at South Park.

The Lady Rams’ Rylee Bove set up Jaelyn Rossie for the opening tally at 22:00 of the first half. The Lady Eagles’ Carly Pcholinsky tied the game with a goal at 12:00 of the first.

The teams went into the halftime tied at 1-1 but South Park scored five times in the second to break the game open.

Kylie Tranter scored the first goal at 38:00 of the second for the Lady Eagles and a 2-1 lead.

Maggie Altschassl (16:30), Jordyn Minda (15:00) and Abby Petrosky (13:00) stretched the lead to 5-1 for the home team.

The Lady Rams (2-3, 4-3) return to action on Wednesday when they meet Chartiers Valley in a Section 3-AAA match at Joe Montana Stadium with the kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
