Southmoreland 5, Jeannette – The Southmoreland girls tennis team lost only eight games Wednesday afternoon as the Lady Scots shut out Jeannette, 5-0, in Section 1-AA action.

Southmoreland improves to 6-2 in the section and 10-2 overall.

The Lady Scots’ Kait Walch didn’t lose a game in her straight-sets victory at No. 1 singles. Hayley Robbins won her No. 2 singles match, 6-2, 6-1, and Amelia Echard completed the singles sweep with a 6-1, 6-4 victory.

Caroline Bailey and Scarlett Davidovich won their No. 1 doubles match, 6-0, 6-0, as did Elise and Hannah Proch at No. 2 doubles.
