Demko’s hat trick leads Belle Vernon past Uniontown

Belle Vernon’s Lexi Demko scored a hat trick to lead the Lady Leopards to a 6-0 Section 2-AAA victory over Uniontown on Wednesday at Bill Power Stadium.

Demko had a goal in the first half and two in the second.

The Lady Leopards’ Marissa Grubbs and Riley Bitonti also scored in the first half. Teammate Sierra Lynn had a goal in the second half.

BVA had six saves in picking up the shutout.

The Lady Leopards improved to 3-1-1 in Section 2-AAA action, and will play Southmoreland tonight.
