Southmoreland remains perfect in section play after beating Geibel Catholic
Southmoreland kept its perfect record intact with a 208-253 Section 2-AA boys golf victory of Geibel Catholic at Pleasant Valley Country Club on Wednesday.
The Scotties improved to 10-0 in section play and 13-0 overall.
Southmoreland’s Josh Redding and Noah House shared medalist honors with a 38. Teammates Nathan Rizza (42), Bailey Stapleton (43) and Ryan Lemon (47) rounded out the scoring.
The Gators’ Anthony Lovat shot a 45 for his team’s low round on the Front 9, Par 34 course. Teammates John-Luke Tulmack and Enzo Fetzo carded 46 and 49. Houston Belski (53) and Ryan Anderson (60) completed the scoring for Geibel Catholic (3-9, 3-9).
Southmoreland’s Jacob Wallace (50) and the Gators’ Ben Lucero (61) completed rounds that were not part of the final scoring.
Geibel Catholic returns to action on Friday when it travels to Mt. Odin to play Greensburg Central Catholic in Section 2-AA play. The first group tees off at 3:30 p.m.
