Vulcans ranked No. 24 in AFCA Top 25 poll
California University of Pennsylvania’s football team made its first appearance in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25 poll on Monday since the 2014 season.
The Vulcans, who received votes in the national poll the past three weeks and in the preseason poll, are ranked No. 24.
Cal U defeated Seton Hill, 59-17, on Saturday, and is off to its first 3-0 start since 2013.
Fellow Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division schools Indiana University of Pennsylvania (No. 8) and Slippery Rock (No. 9) are also ranked.
The Vulcans return to action Saturday when they host Slippery Rock on Hepner-Bailey Field at Adamson Stadium. The kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
