Lady Bulldogs top Brownsville

Beth-Center 3, Brownsville 2 – It took five sets, but Beth-Center earned a key Section 3-AA win over Brownsville in girls volleyball action Tuesday night.

The Lady Bulldogs stormed out to a 2-0 lead with 25-22 and 25-18 wins in the fist two sets before the Lady Falcons dug in and took the next two sets, 25-13 and 25-20. Beth-Center (4-3) took the deciding fifth set, 15-10 to end the first half of section play at 3-3. Brownsville fell to 5-5 overall, 4-2 in the section.

Kennedy Kuhns paced Beth-Center with 22 kills and five aces, while Mackenzie Crile added 39 assists. Kinlee Whited added 10 kills and four aces, while Frankie Pryor led with 21 digs and Bailey Minerd added nine digs.

Erica Armel had 21 assists and two blocks for Brownsville, while Alie Seto had 16 kills, five blocks and 15 digs. Jessica Peton had 15 digs and five kills and Brooklyn Grant had 16 digs.
