Lady Trojans can’t hold early lead in 14-6 loss

Serra Catholic 14, California 6 – California scored four runs in the top of the first inning Tuesday afternoon, but Serra Catholic stormed back with six runs in the bottom of the second on its way to a 14-6 non-section victory.

The Eagles scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth and added four more in the bottom of the sixth. Serra pounded out 12 hits.

The Lady Trojans added single runs in the top of the second and third innings.

Maddie Carr blasted a home run for Serra Catholic. Nina Grandey had a double and drove in four runs.

Losing pitcher Kylie Trusler, Kalsie Walker, Karen Watkins and Marlie Renner all had on RBI for the Lady Trojans.
