Lady Leps edge McKeesport, 46-42

The Belle Vernon girls slipped into the lead at halftime and remained ahead through the second half Saturday for a 46-42 victory against the host team of the McKeesport Tip-Off Tournament.

The Lady Leopards (1-1) led 21-19 at halftime and then extended their lead to 38-30 after three quarters. The Lady Tigers (1-1) controlled the fourth quarter, 12-8.

Belle Vernon’s Keira Boff scored a game-high 20 points. Lindsay Steeber added 14. 

Jahyla Bray led McKeesport with 18 points.
