Panthers bookend big quarters to beat Monessen

Upper St. Clair scored over 30 points in both the first and fourth quarters Friday night as the host team defeated Monessen, 95-56.

The Panthers outscored the Greyhounds in the first and fourth quarters, 64-17. Monessen carried the play in the middle quarters, 39-31.

Lyndon Henderson led the Greyhounds with 14 points. Elijahwa Payne scored 12 and Vaughn Taylor added 11.

The Panthers’ Kyle Meinert scored a game-high 20 points. Bret Moore finished with 14 points and Quentin Nelson added 11.
