Ringgold skates to 3-3 tie
Ringgold 3, Blackhawk 3 – Ringgold scored twice in the third period to take a 3-2 lead, but allowed a Blackhawk goal at the 14:01 mark and the teams played to a 3-3 overtime tie in PIHL action Thursday night at the Rostraver Ice Garden.
The Rams got goals from Emery Anden, Anthony Vavasori and Brendon Lewis, but Blackhawk got all three of its goals on James Kelly Tindall’s hat trick.
Blackhawk’s Matthew Bibbee stopped 41 of Ringgold’s 44 shots on goal, while the Rams’ Evan Cook stoned 23 of 26 Blackhawk shots to the net.
Ringgold is 5-6-2 and Blackhawk is 3-8-2 in Class B of Varsity Division II competition.
