Strong second half carries Lady Maples to win

Mapletown 38, Waynesburg Central 25 – The Mapletown girls outscored visiting Waynesburg Central in the second half, 25-16, on their way to a 38-25 non-section win Tuesday night.

The Lady Maples (6-10) led 11-2 after the first quarter, but the Lady Raiders made a run in the second quarter and trailed 13-9 at the end of the first half.

Kayla Smith had a double-double for Mapletown with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Hannah Dingle added 10.

Claire Garber led the Lady Raiders (1-13) with seven points.
