WEDNESDAYS ON THE WATER (GEOLOGY)

Wednesday, July 5 at 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., Ohiopyle State Park, Visitors Center

If you want to experience more than just a jaunt down the lower Yough then join us as we explore the geological features of our beloved river. On this adventure, we will learn how the rapids were formed and how the course of the river has changed over time. Participants must provide their own boat and shuttle pass.

PA BLACK BEARS

Saturday, July 8 at 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Ohiopyle State Park, Kentuck Campground Amphitheater

Join us for one of our most popular programs. We’ll discuss these amazing mammals, where they are found in Ohiopyle State Park, and then we’ll view a portion of the award winning video, “On the Trail of Pennsylvania Black Bears.”

VOLUNTEER TRAIL CLEAN-UP

If you enjoy the beauty and wilderness of Ohiopyle State Park, we ask you to consider spending a little time chipping in. All trail clean ups meet at 9:00am at the Meadow Run House. Clean ups are sponsored by the Friends of Ohiopyle (FOO). Please contact Barb Wallace at bawallace@pa.gov to sign up. Consider joining FOO or visit their website at www.friendsofohiopyle.info.

Men’s open 50 yard max; women’s Open and Mens’ hunter class 40 max; women’s hunter and youth 25 yard max

Entry fees: $20 Big East Challenge; $15 practice and youth $10.

$10 of BEC entry fee allocated to cumulative purse to be awarded last shoot date on July 30. Must shoot 3 of 6 shoot dates to be eligible for payout.

Shoot for fun or shoot to win.

3-D ARCHERY COURSE
