Lady Gators cruise past Bentworth, 3-0
Geibel Catholic 3, Bentworth – Geibel Catholic cruised past Bentwoth, 3-0, in Section 2-A girls volleyball action on Tuesday night.
The Lady Gators (7-2, 7-2) won by scores of 25-16, 25-12 and 25-18 to remain in a second-place tie with California, one game in back of first-place Frazier.
Alexa Henckel had six kills and 15 digs for Geibel. Shannon Watkins totaled 20 assists and three aces, Amanda Antol had four kills and two blocks, and Paige Bogozi added four kills and three aces.
The Lady Bearcats fall to 0-9 in the section.
Coach Rick Watkins’ Lady Gators host Mapletown on Thursday.
