Lady Falcons fall to first-place Norwin, 3-1
Norwin 3, Connellsville 1 – Connellsville won the opening set and put up a strong fight throughout but couldn’t prevent first-place Norwin from rallying for a 3-1 win in their Section 3-AAA girls volleyball match on Tuesday night.
The Lady Falcons (9-5, 3-5) took the first set, 25-17, before the Lady Knights (7-1) won the next three tightly-fought sets, 25-20, 25-23 and 25-21.
Lauren Bubarth led Connellsville with nine kills and five blocks. Maggie Means contributed 33 digs, Sara Ellis tallied 36 assists, Elli Cook had 15 kills and Morgan Domer chipped in with five aces.
The Lady Falcons host host Hempfield on Thursday night.
