Ringgold boys, girls win Washington County titles
Host Ringgold won both the boys and girls Class AA/A team titles Monday afternoon in the Washington County Coaches Association Cross Country Invitational held at Mingo Park.
The Ringgold girls scored 22 points to take the small team title. The Rams totaled 31 points for the team title.
Freshman Andrea Kassa finished fourth overall in the race with a time of 20:58. Teammates Autumn Lusk (7, 21:30) and Kaylee Kassa (8, 21:36) also finished in the top 20 to earn All-County honors. Anjolina Hrycko (25, 24:12.71) and Morgan Richards (28, 24:20.88) rounded out the Lady Rams’ top-5 team finishes.
The Rams’ Ethan Gamble finished fourth overall in a time of 17:36. Also earning All-County honors were Eric Obringer (14, 18:06) and Lucas Pajak (15, 18:12). Bennett Gorman (25, 18:44.32) and Ben Daerr (26, 18:45.52) closed out the Rams’ top-5 finishers.
The California girls finished third in AA/A with 76 points. Makayla Boda earned All-County honors by finishing 10th overall (and fourth in AA/A) with a school record time of 22:00. Bre Trusler was 22nd overall and eighth in AA/A in a personal best time of 23:44.
The Trojans’ Charles Roberts made the All-County team after finishing 11th (and third in AA/A) with a time of 17:53.
