Kossel extends shutout record as Lady Bearcats blank B-C

Bentworth 6, Beth-Center 0 – Cande Kossel extended her school record for career shutouts to 24 with her seventh of the season as Bentworth wrapped up its Section 2-A slate with a 6-0 victory over visiting Beth-Center in girls soccer action on Monday night.

Joceyln Timlin scored three goals for the second-place and playoff-bound Lady Bearcats (11-4-1, 9-2-1) to give her 55 for her career as she moved ahead of Erin Ritzer into second place on the school list.

Paige Marshalek, Rori Schreiber and Meghan Cicci also scored for Bentworth. Marshalek’s goal gave her 50 for her career and pushed her in front of assistant coach Heather Podrosky into fourth place.

The Lady Bulldogs end their season at 2-9-2 overall and 2-8-2 in section play.
