Anthony Papageorgiou’s goal in the 54th minute lifted visiting California (Pa.) to a 2-1 PSAC victory Wednesday night at Pitt-Johnstown.

Papageorgiou’s goal was scored on a penalty kick.

D.J. Vogelman spotted the Mountain Cats (0-9-0, 0-13-1) the early lead with a goal in the third minute.

California (2-6-0, 2-11-0) tied the game 10 minutes later when Mark Wolf scored off a cross by junior Jaheed Loblack.

The Vulcans’ Joseph Valeriano won his first match of the year, turning aside three shots to preserve the victory.
