The Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus women’s volleyball team will be looking for more than a victory tonight when it hosts Allegany College of Maryland.

The Roaring Lions also will be selling purple “Break the Silence” T-shirts at the game.

“It’s also going to be a domestic violence awareness game,” Penn State Fayette coach Sam Swetz said. “We want to do our part for the cause.”

Swetz is encouraging anyone who attends the match to show awareness for the cause by wearing purple and to buy a T-shirt to support the cause.

“The shirts are $10 each and we have 50 of them,” Swetz said. “All proceeds go to the Fayette County Domestic Violent Shelter. We hope to sell them all so we can donate $500 to the shelter.”

The match begins at 7 p.m. at the Community Center Gym.

The Roaring Lions are having another stellar season under first-year coach Swetz, who is a former Penn State Fayette star.

The Roaring Lions were 18-6 overall and 11-3 in the PSUAC, and riding a eight-match winning streak heading into Thursday’s home meeting against Penn State Beaver.

Tonight’s game is the regular-season finale for Penn State Fayette.
