Stephens gains honor
Point Park sophomore and Albert Gallatin graduate Xavier Stephens was named the River States Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week after a first-place finish last weekend.
Stephens covered the the Asbury Invitational 8K course in the winning time of 27:26. The is the second time Stephens has received RSC Runner of the Week honors.

Cal players recognized
California University of Pa.’s Michael Keir and Will Brazill were recognized for their efforts in last Saturday’s 38-35 win at Gannon by the PSAC West.
Keir, a senior quarterback, was named the Western Division Co-Offensive Athlete of the Week, while Brazill, senior kicker, was the Western Division Special Teams Athlete of the Week.
Keir passed for a career-high 435 yards and threw four touchdown passes, including three in the first half. The passing yardage was the fifth-most in single-game history for the Vulcans. Keir completed 20-of-34 attempts with no interceptions.
Brazill converted all five extra points and made a key 18-yard field goal early in the second quarter. He has made all 33 extra-point attempts this season and 13-of-15 field goal attempts. His lone missed kicks were field goal attempts from over 40 yards.
