Jones honored by PAC

Waynesburg freshman JaWuan Jones was named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after returning a punt for a touchdown last Saturday’s 34-7 win against Thiel.

Jones scored the opening touchdown of the game for the Yellow Jackets on an 84-yard return.

Brazill top PSAC kicker

California University of Pa.’s Will Brazill was named the PSAC West Special Teams Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row and the third time this season.

Brazill hit field goals of 32 and 21 yards last Saturday, and made all three extra points in the Vulcans’ 31-21 come-from-behind victory over Mercyhurst.

Traficante records ace

Dan Traficante sank a hole in one at Duck Hollow Golf Club on Thursday.

Trificante aced the 153-yard No. 7 hole. The shot was witnessed by playing partners Rich Gmutza, Ray Sigwalt and Mark Dvorcheck.
