Burgettstown put up 28 points in the first quarter Friday night and then the Blue Devils added 21 more in the second quarter for a 49-3 Century Conference victory at Bentworth.

Nic Speer scored on runs of 3, 24 and 30 yards for the Blue Devils (2-0, 3-0). Seth Phillis sprinted 54 yards for a touchdown and hit all seven extra points. Ryan Lounder had scoring runs of 40 and 15 runs, and Gage Monette capped the scoring in the first half on a 47-yard run.

Levi Jordan’s 23-yard field goal allowed the Bearcats (2-1, 2-2) avoid the shutout.
