Rachel Rohanna bookended strong rounds to finish tied for fifth in the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout in El Dorado, Ark.

The Waynesburg Central graduate shot 4-under 68 in Sunday’s final round, taking home $4,050 for her top-5 finish with a three-round total of 7-under 209. She shot 5-under 67 in the first round, for a share of the lead, and 2-over 74 in Saturday’s second round.

Rohanna is in 23rd place on the Symetra Tour money list with $30,514 in 12 events.

Hannah Green, who played with Rohanna, rallied with an 8-under 64 in the final round to win the tournament and the winner’s share of $15,000 with an 11-under 205.

“I got to witness a good 8-under,” said Rohanna.

Rohanna had only one bogey in the final round, but she matched the lost shot with three birdies on the front nine to go out in 2-under 34. She was solid on the back nine, as well, with two birdies and seven pars to come back in 34.

“Yes, I just had one bogey & a bad par on the last hole, but other than that it was good. I hit some great shots,” said Rohanna.

Rohanna was satisfied with her play over the three-round Symetra Tour event.

“Yes, for sure!,” responded Rohanna. “I just a rough day yesterday, but am happy with how I played on this course.”

Rohanna has the week off before she boards a plane Saturday for the McKayson New Zealand Women’s Open in Auckland, New Zealand, on Sept. 28-Oct. 1, as the LPGA Tour swings into the south Pacific.
