West Greene split a non-section softball doubleheader on Friday at Myrtle Beach.

The Lady Pioneers (3-1) won the opener, 11-4, over Perry, Ohio, but fell in the nightcap, 9-1, to Liverpool, New York.

West Greene’s McKenna Lampe was 4 for 5 with four runs scores, four RBIs, two home runs and two steals in the opener.

Teammate Madison Renner was 3 for 4 with three RBIs, two doubles and a run scored. The Lady Pioneers’ Mackenzie Carpenter was 3 for 4 with two runs scored. WG’s Savannah Pettit was 1 of 2 with a triple and two RBIs.

West Greene’s Jade Renner picked up the win. She had five strikeouts and walked one.

Perry’s Olivia Moon took the loss.

Kaitlyn Rizor scored the Lady Pioneers’ lone run against Liverpool after drawing a walk and scoring on Lexie Mooney’s triple.

Jade Renner took the loss with two strikeouts and no walks in four innings. Madison Renner pitched the final two innings, and record two strikeouts.

Liverpool’s Jenna Wille earned the win after recording five strikeouts and walking one.
