Bucs’s five-run fifth sinks Commodores

Chartiers-Houston 9, Frazier 3 – Chartiers-Houston broke open a close game with a five-run fifth inning and went on to defeat host Frazier, 9-3, in a Section 1-AA baseball game on Wednesday.

The Bucs took a 2-0 lead with runs in the first and third before the Commodores got on the board with one run in the fourth.

Chartiers-Houston pulled away with its big fifth inning to go up 7-1, then tacked on two more runs in the sixth.

Frazier plated a pair of runs in the seventh to set the final score.

Zach Southern was the winning pitcher for the Bucs (2-2, 2-1).

J.D. Celaschi doubled for the Commodores (1-2, 0-1), and Tim Sedok and Logan Kulikoski both singled twice.

Mason Kelly took the loss.
