Lady Bulldogs edge California in girls track, 73-67

Beth-Center girls 73, California 67 – Olivia Greco and Sydney Urbine each won two events to help Beth-Center edge host California in a Section 6-AA girls track and field meet on Wednesday.

Greco took first in the 800 and 3,200 (16:24.22), while Urbine won the 100 (13:33) and 400 (1:08.25).

The Lady Trojans got three first-place performances from Marissa Bitonti, in the shot put (29-0), discus (83-6) and javelin (118-0), and two from Annalise Gillespie, in the triple jump (30-6) and high jump (4-10).

Other individual winners for California were Makalya Boda in the 100 high hurdles (17:55) and Bre Trusler in the 200 (28.66).

Other individual winners for the Lady Bulldogs were Casey Falcon in the 1,600 (7:07.25), Markie Louis in the long jump (13-8.5) and Kinlee Whited in the 300 intermediate hurdles (49.3).

The Lady Bulldogs swept all three relays.
