Falcons have easy time against Vikings, Colonials
Connellsville carried most of the first-place finishes Friday afternoon to sweep a Section 2-AAA triangular from visiting Mount Pleasant and Albert Gallatin.
The Falcons defeated the Vikings, 128-22, and Colonials, 141-9.
Connellsville finished first in all three relays.
Toby Carmichael (110 high hurdles, 16.4), David Marchewka (100, 11.53), Logan Gonzales (400, 54.7; 3,200, 11:14), Blake McKnight (300 intermediate hurdles, 43.9), Dom Prestipino (800), Bodee Stonebraker (200), Jalen Rogers (triple jump, 39-1½), Mason Franks (pole vault, 12-6), Jake Reilly (discus, 123-8), Aiden Bruich (shot put, 46-5½), and Cameron Sapola (javelin, 165-0) had overall first-place finishes for Connellsville.
Wayne Canady (high jump, 5-10) finished first for the Vikings.
Albert Gallatin’s Jackson Core won the 1,600 in 4:41.
