Ringgold edges Uniontown, 3-2

Ringgold 3, Uniontown 2 – Travis Drubasky drove home the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning Wednesday to lift Ringgold to a 3-2 victory over visiting Uniontown in Section 3-AAAA action.

Ringgold led 2-0 after two innings, but Brandon Bell run-scoring hits brought home single runs in the top of the third and fifth innings.

Chase Angotti went five innings for the win, striking out four and walking two. Bo Haines pitched the final two innings for the save with one walk and two strikeouts.

Brandon Swaney took the loss in relief of starter Connor DeMoss.

DeMoss and Owen Martin both had a double and single for the Red Raiders (4-6, 6-7). Steven Edenfield had a pair of singles.

Robert Boyer and Anthony Vavasori doubled for the Rams (8-1, 9-1).
