Uniontown 62, Waynesburg Central 56 – Uniontown trailed by a field goal at halftime Saturday afternoon, but the Red Raiders held the advantage in the second half for a 62-56 Section 3-AAAA victory over visiting Waynesburg Central.

The Red Raiders (9-5) share first place in the section with Belle Vernon and South Fayette at 5-2. The Raiders slip to 1-6 in the section and 4-10 overall.

Waynesburg led by two at halftime, 32-30, but Uniontown rallied into a 46-45 lead after three quarters. The Red Raiders finished out the victory with a 16-11 fourth quarter.

Kameron Fitzgerald led Uniontown with 23 points. Billy DeShields added 23.

Darton McIntire scored a game-high 31 points for Waynesburg. Richard Bortz added 10.
