Mitch’s Bail Bonds blew open a close game with a five-run fifth inning and went on to defeat visiting AMD Industries, 8-3, in a Fayette County Baseball League game on Tuesday night.

Winning pitcher Trevor Hayes allowed two runs on eight hits with two walks and seven strikeouts in five innings.

Mitch’s (5-5-2) scored three runs in the first. AMD tallied one run in the fourth and one in the fifth to pull within one before the hosts pulled away with its big fifth.

Adam Jacko, Zach Skatell and Errict Tedrow each had two hits and an RBI for Mitch’s. Adam Jacko also produced a pair of hits, and Jack Oberdorf and Chad Workman both doubled in a 13-hit attack.

Losing pitcher KC Zajicek doubled and singled for the visitors, and Josh Luko tripled and singled. Louden Conte and Payton Conte each also had two hits, and Drake Johnson added a double for AMD Industries, which totaled 10 hits.
